What Size Do I Need
We strongly urge the user who uses their Cool Cane as a mobility aid to obtain professional medical advice on properly sizing for a walking cane.
If the user would like to size themselves for a cane on their own prior to seeing a professional,
The following is a standard method for determining cane size when placing an order;
(you will need the assistance of another person)
1. Put on typical walking shoes that are worn regularly.
2. The user should stand naturally with good posture as much as possible.
3. User should have their arms at their sides naturally (If possible, do not hold arms straight or stiff).
4. With the assistance of another person;
a. use a tape measure
b. starting at the wrist joint – measure to the floor
c. round up to the nearest half inch.
Note: The lowest point of the cane handle should be parallel with the wrist joint when standing naturally.
Users may also measure an existing walking cane that is sized correctly to determine the correct length to order.
